1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Connect2Edit, a user agrees to follow these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and any other rules displayed within the platform.
A person who does not agree with the applicable terms should not create an account or use the platform.
2. Connect2Edit's platform role
Connect2Edit is intended to operate as a digital marketplace connecting customers who require video-editing services with independent video editors.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, video editors are not employees of Connect2Edit. Editors are responsible for the services they offer, their professional representations and the quality and lawful completion of accepted work.
3. Account registration and security
Users must provide accurate and current information during registration and keep their account information updated.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for activity performed through their accounts. Suspected unauthorized access should be reported promptly to Connect2Edit support.
The final minimum-age and eligibility requirements will be confirmed before the platform is launched.
4. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing clear and accurate project requirements
- Uploading only content they are entitled to use
- Responding to reasonable questions from the selected editor
- Reviewing previews within the specified period
- Making applicable payments through supported methods
- Using delivered work only for lawful purposes
5. Video editor responsibilities
Video editors are responsible for:
- Providing truthful profile and professional information
- Accepting only projects they are capable of completing
- Following agreed requirements and delivery timelines
- Respecting the confidentiality of customer materials
- Avoiding unauthorized use of copyrighted materials
- Delivering original and lawful editing work
- Communicating professionally through the platform
6. Projects, previews and delivery
Project requirements, price, delivery expectations and permitted revisions should be confirmed through the platform workflow before work begins.
Editors may provide a preview for customer review. Final files should be released through the applicable platform process after approval and satisfaction of payment requirements.
Material changes requested after project acceptance may require a revised price or delivery period, subject to the final platform rules.
7. Payments, fees and payouts
Payments will be processed using supported external payment service providers. Connect2Edit may charge platform fees, commissions, taxes or other disclosed charges.
The applicable price, payment timing, commission, editor payout process and taxes will be displayed or communicated through the platform before they become binding.
Refunds and cancellations will be handled under the applicable Refund and Cancellation Policy.
8. User content and intellectual property
Users retain their lawful rights in content they upload. Users grant Connect2Edit the limited permission necessary to store, process, display and transmit that content for operating the requested platform service.
Customers must not upload content that violates copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other third-party rights. Editors must not reuse or publish customer materials without appropriate authorization.
The Connect2Edit name, logo, website design and platform materials may not be copied or commercially used without authorization.
9. Prohibited conduct
Users must not:
- Use the platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
- Provide false, misleading or impersonated information
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized system access
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against another user
- Manipulate ratings, reviews or transaction records
- Misuse another person's personal information
- Attempt to interfere with platform security or operation
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Connect2Edit will aim to provide a reliable platform but cannot guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available on every device.
The final allocation of responsibility and limitation of liability will be reviewed and stated in accordance with applicable law before launch. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude a right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Suspension and termination
Connect2Edit may restrict, suspend or terminate access when a user violates platform rules, creates security or legal risks, engages in fraudulent conduct or causes material harm to other users or the platform.
Where appropriate, users may be given notice or an opportunity to respond, subject to security, fraud-prevention and legal requirements.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect new features, operational changes or legal requirements. Updated terms will display a revised effective date.
13. Governing law and disputes
The governing law, courts having jurisdiction and any formal dispute-resolution process will be confirmed using the registered entity and business location before launch.
